Bishop Gorman’s yearly food drive kicked off on Monday, November 14, and continues through Tuesday, November 22. Each year, the food drive brings in food donations different groups in need. In the past, the drive has extended to military workers and their families and foundations supporting HIV and AIDS.

This year, students are asked to bring in non perishable food items such as beef jerky, popcorn, pudding, etc., that will be donated to two Catholic elementary schools and two title one elementary schools in the Clark County School District.

Some children in these schools cannot afford to buy lunch or even bring in their own. As a result, it is difficult for the students to function in class and learn what they need to succeed. In each English classroom, big black bins are set up with four different labels on them instructing students on what food items to bring. All Gorman students are invited to contribute any of the four designated items listed on their classes’ bin.

Please bring your English classes’ designated items by November 22nd and give hope to the children of our community!
