Gaels won in a spectacular fashion this past Friday night against St. Thomas Aquinas’ Raiders after a triple-overtime play. Using a two-point conversion as the final play of the game, Coach Sanchez edged out a close victory for Bishop Gorman. A final score of 25-24 was seen both on the field and live on ESPN.

A slow, but equally matched, first quarter lead way to perhaps one of the greatest overtime plays our school has ever seen. An extremely risky last-minute call proved to be worthwhile as the two-points needed to win were successfully received.

Before Friday’s game, starting quarterback Tate Martell tweeted ‘This game decides what legacy we have at Gorman.” After this game, the players present were definitely seen leaving such a worthy legacy.

After this game, Bishop Gorman’s Tate Martell, moves to a 34-0 streak. Martell has committed to Ohio State for fall of 2017.

The Gaels’ next game is against Spring Valley this Friday: October 7, 2016. It will be an away game against Spring Valley at their home field. Remember to go out and support your Gaels
